Emily and Ryan’s New Kent Winery wedding was emotional, intimate and full of faith. From Ryan’s prayer with Emily during their faux first look, through the ceremony and their sparkler send-off, Emily and Ryan placed God first, as they always do.
I met Emily nearly a decade ago when we were both at K-State. We met at bible study and have been friends ever since! At ACVIM in Denver, she took me aside and told me that she might be getting married soon and I needed to be ready because she wanted me to be her photographer! Best feeling ever!
My favorite part of Emily and Ryan’s wedding was immediately after the ceremony when they walked outside and shared a kiss. The build-up to that kiss had been legendary. The pomp and circumstance of weddings plus the anxiety of seeing each other creates such a surreal atmosphere. I felt like they both were able to be Emily and Ryan again in that moment. They were able to steal some time for themselves on their wedding day and that they made the most of it!
