Dana and Doug’s wedding photography preview from their phenomenal Fall day in Lake Geneva, WI photographed by me! I traveled to Wisconsin and there were beautiful Fall colors everywhere! At new places, I love to explore a bit and so I ended up at Grant Park and touched the freezing waters of Lake Michigan for the first time! Here is the edited version of the image that I shared on Instagram! 
A huge thanks to Dana and Doug for helping me cross off Wisconsin in my goal to photograph a wedding in all 50 states (only 23 more states to go)!
Three years ago, I met Dana and Doug at Crystal and Jon’s beautiful wedding in Independence, IA. They had just started dating and when I posted this image…
Dana asked me to remove it because she didn’t want people to know about their relationship yet. Funny how life works, isn’t it? =)
Doug was anxious and nervous. He was eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see Dana that he was fidgeting and dancing to get his mind off of things. Throughout the morning of getting hair and makeup done at Mia Faccia, Dana was probably the most feminine and emotional that she’s ever been (according to her close friends, though they used more blunt words to describe her). After their first look, the stress of the day immediately dissipated and Dana and Doug were absolutely elated! Thanks to the expert planning by Sarah of Cherry Blossom Events, their wedding was flawless. I love the way Doug make Dana laugh. They understand each other so well and the love that they share is incredibly authentic.
Congratulations again on celebrating your lifelong commitment and I can’t wait to feature your wedding and details in your full blog post!
