Taking things quite literally this week. Straight out of Camera. Straight of a Camera. I don’t know. I think I just made that up.

I wanted to try something a bit different from what I normally shoot and my awesome friend, Brandon, has this beautiful Corvette that was a perfect model. The biggest challenge for this Straight Out Of Camera – no editing shoot was finding a subject that looked good at all times (check) and a background that would make my subject pop (check). My love of photography and love of cars made this a super fun evening of experimenting! Super stoked too because it the first time I had ever ridden in a Corvette (yes, I revert into a 13 year old again when I talk about cars).

As a photographer, sometime you need to work on things outside of your normal purview and this project is going to help us (and you) challenge, grow and creatively develop your photography as a whole. Weekly for the next year, we will be sharing our images with you here!
For those of you interested in participating, PLEASE join us! The more the merrier! You definitely do not need to be a professional photographer, this is something you can easily do with your point and shoot, cell phone, ipad2, etc. You can comment with a link to your image here on our blog or on our La Brisa fan page or you can tag La Brisa Photography in your image on your own FB page or use the hashtag #52WoA on twitter that way we can share your efforts with everyone else! If you are interested in joining our La Brisa Aspiring Photographer Workshop group on FB, please request to join as we will also be sharing our images there too.
For the month of April, b, Autumn and I are selling our favorite fine art photographs and we are donating 100% of profits to two amazing non-profit organizations. We call the event Photography For a Cause and we hope that you help spread the word to your families and friends! You can find more details about Photography For a Cause through this link – http://labrisaphoto.blogspot.com/2012/03/photography-for-cause-2012.html
